INSPIRATION COLOR OF THE WEEK: Gold

Hope everyone enjoyed the weekend.  Yesterday was a beautiful Sunday; no humidity and warm, but pleasant temperatures.  I spent most of the weekend resting, after two back to back visits at the chiropractor's office.  They really worked my back; with massages, icing and an adjustment.  I welcomed the massages because my back is in so much pain.  They massaged so deep, I felt like some of my organs were being massaged as well (lol).  I can't begin to tell you how exhausted and thirsty I was after my appointments.  Rest was on the agenda for me this weekend and I embraced it!

But, not to disappoint my readers, I spent time working on some posts for this week.  So, for this week's inspiration color of the week, I'm talking about the color "Gold".  Have you noticed the popular trend for gold the past few years?  I'm loving the comeback and have incorporated some gold in my home and in my fashion accessories.

Take a look at some inspirational pictures for the home as well as some fashion trends.

INSPIRATION COLOR OF THE WEEK: CHARTREUSE

Happy Monday!  Hope you enjoyed the weekend.  It was a busy weekend for me and much to do this week.  So let's dive into this post to start the week off with a little inspiration.  Chartreuse is the color of the week.  It's a cross between yellow and green.

Chartreuse is a color that is bright and really pops!  It goes great with soft colors as well as darker colors.  I love this color paired with gray, white, pink, turquoise, plum, navy or black.

If you're thinking of adding this color to a room or your wardrobe, a little goes a long way.  Here are some inspiration pictures I pulled:

INSPIRATION COLOR OF THE WEEK: PERIWINKLE

Another Monday is upon us. For me, it will be a busy work week but with great opportunities that come with it.

Another Monday also means sharing the color of the week. Today's color of the week is Periwinkle.  This color is in the blue and lavender family.  Or another name is lavender blue.  It's such a soft, sophisticated color.  I love periwinkle paired with white, gray, pink, navy, yellow, green, creams and browns.

Take a look at some inspirational photos.

INSPIRATION COLOR OF THE WEEK: POWDER BLUE

Another Monday . . . where did the weekend go?  For me, the hours flew by and still my "to do list" is still full.   For every item I check off, I add two (lol).  I'm my own worst enemy because I want it done right away.  But, moving on ...

This week's color inspiration is powder blue.  This color represents peacefulness, while uplifting our moods.  When you think of clear blue skies, or the open seas, you feel happy and calm.  For those that want to incorporate this look into their home and apparel, take a look at some inspirational pictures to get you there.

This white and bright, country style kitchen, has a lovely powder blue island, center stage. You get that beach, cottage like feel to the space.  Love all the sunlight filtering in.

The wallpaper in this room is the focal point in this space.  Placing it around the room, draws your eye to each area.  The powder blue and white damask wallpaper is bold but in a soft way.   Combining colors of cream and taupe is dreamy.  From the bedding to pillow accessories, balances the room, creating a comfy and elegant bedroom.  Such a beautiful color combo!

This bathroom vanity painted in a glossy, powder blue, creates a softer look against the dark blue, grasscloth wallpaper.  Adding white and gold accessories to the space . . . gorg!

This sweet baby's nursery, with its nautical theme (sailor boat mobile, nautical wooden art, baby whale, globe, suitcases, globe, ship's wheel clock and star knobs) is a lovely space.  You instantly feel relaxed and captured in this space.  Use your imagination, to set sail for an adventure!

This stunning, home office design is a lovely workspace.  With powder blue walls, blue suede tufted chair and blue accessories is the perfect design.  White cabinetry and grey driftwood desk, keeps things light and soft.  I love the large picture window, letting all that natural light into the room.

INSPIRATION COLOR OF THE WEEK: MINT

How did it get to be Monday already?  The weekends always go by so quickly.  Hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed the pleasant weather.

Onto another Monday series of "Inspiration Color of the Week".  I'm going to mix it up and not talk about classic colors (I pretty much covered all of them with the exception of one).  Today, I'm talking about the color mint.  This soft pastel tint of spring green brings to mind, images of spring, beautiful ocean beaches and plantings.

I love this color because of its simplicity and innocence.  It goes well with colors like: beige, gold, yellow, silver, cream, white, pink, navy, black, brown and gray.

Take a look at some inspirational pictures I created, as well as images from designers.

INSPIRATION COLOR OF THE WEEK: TAN/BEIGE

Happy Monday everyone.  And, you know what my Mondays represent . . . Inspiration Color of the Week.  Today I'm talking about the color Tan/Beige.

This color is a natural tone that compliments every color.  It creates a warm and soft balance for dark and light colors.

Here are some inspirational designs and fashion looks for your viewing pleasure.

Design a room with creamy tan walls, (Benjamin Moore color in Natural Linen), lovely linen colored wing back chairs and beige tone rug.  Brining another color into this room (like the soft blue shown below) creates a delicate balance.

COLOR INSPIRATION OF THE WEEK: ORANGE

Hope everyone enjoyed the long holiday weekend.  The weather turned from rain to picture perfect beach weather.  Monday is here so it's time to talk color.

This week's color inspiration is "Orange"; the combination of red and yellow.  Did you know that the color orange is a motivational color?  It's been described as an optimistic and uplifting color.  I need to have a little orange in my everyday life!

Complimentary colors that go well with orange are: navy, various shades of light blue, white, mint, gray, magenta, brown and black.  I pulled some inspirational photos as well as some looks to add to your wardrobe and accessories for the home.  Take a look!

INSPIRATION COLOR OF THE WEEK: RED

I hope everyone had a nice weekend.  We had a couple of friends over for a intimate, little BBQ and look forward to sharing some outside tableware pictures with you.  Can't believe it's Monday already but looking forward to the short work week.

This week's color inspiration is "Red".  To be honest, I'm not a big fan of the color because I tend to lean towards softer colors.  I can remember growing up, my mom had our living room decorated in all red.  Red sofa, red walls, red carpet . . . RED!

When I think of ways to describe this color, I think classic; like a great red lipstick or nail polish.  Red is a royal color; powerful, strong and fierce. It's hot.  It is used to make a statement and to draw attention.  For example, a red stop sign, a hydrant, a fire truck and Santa Clause (lol).

I can appreciate some looks with hints of red.  Take a look at some inspiration photos I put together as well as my fashion inspiration board.
