WARDBROBE WEDNESDAY: My Look from Zara

Happy Hump Day!  Today's look is from Zara.  Call it my "holding onto Summer" look.  The weather is comfortable on the east coast, with temperatures holding in the 70s; with the mornings and evenings being much cooler.  So, while I'm missing the warmer temperatures, I'm enjoying this type of weather as well.

I adore this beautiful light, bright, floral and flowing top.  You can create a different look than the one I create below by pairing it with your favorite skinny jeans or a pair of tapered trousers.  If your looking for a more causal look, instead of heels, you can wear with your favorite flats.

1// Combination Printed top
2// Perforated Messenger Bag
3// Asymmetric Leather Court shoe
4// Medium Rise Skinny Fit Jeans

AS SIMPLE AS BLACK AND WHITE

Nothing is more classic and simple than black and white.  I think everyone has an article of clothing in these two colors.  I know I do! You can wear these colors year round and never tire.  Here are a few looks I created.

1// 2

For a casual look, pick a feminine top and pair with white jeans

For a dressier look, a simple pair of black slacks and an embroidered top

THEY CALL IT MELLOW YELLOW . . . FOR FASHION

1// 2// 3// 4
To continue with my love of spring colors, today I'm sharing the color yellow for you fashionistas! Yellow is such a bright and cheery color.  I instantly feel happy when I see or wear yellow; don't you?  It pairs nicely with cream, beige, grey, white, navy or black; make a bold or soft statement (depending on your look).

I own a few pieces of clothing in yellow and it compliments nicely with my olive skin.  I'm looking forward to adding to my wardrobe, some of the latest looks I've spotted.  Take a look at some of my favorite finds!

JEWELED APPAREL

Accessorizing is the biggest craze these days.  When it comes to fashion, adding accessory pieces to your blouses, sweaters or shirts adds that bit of sparkle and color to complete your outfit.

For those who don't want to spend money on buying jeweled accessories (i.e., necklaces), now you don't have to.  Just look at some of the jeweled apparel featured on today's blog.  From sweaters to button down shirts, adding that bit of pizazz completes any outfit you put together.

I purchased a button down, blue and white striped blouse from one of my favorite stores, Zara.  It's so pretty! The buttons are navy jeweled pieces.

High/Low Look

High/Low Look

Like most women, I love fashion!  Sometimes, too much.  For some of us, okay maybe just me, wished money grew on trees.  My hunger for shopping is bigger than my wallet (lol).  The responsible side of me saves for rainy days too.

When shopping, I try to choose pieces that are classic and not too trendy. I also pick pieces I can wear to work and mix it up with on the weekend.

Here are two looks I created.  One, a high end for those who can afford a little luxury and the other, a low end for those watching their wallet.

Happy Monday!
