HAPPY FRIDAY!

Hi!  Sorry for the lack of posts this week.  I am taking a couple of days off of work to nurse my puppy, Quincy, who go neutered.  At the same time, I'm dog sitting - making sure my other dog doesn't go after Quincy's incision.  It has been exhausting with restless nights and long days.

On a brighter note, our master bedroom revamp is coming along nicely.  The wallpaper is up and it's GORGEOUS!!! I'm so in love.  I'm still waiting for a few items I purchased to come in the next couple of week.  One item I did order, an area rug, was delivered yesterday.  Ugh! I was disappointed when I set it up in our room.  It wasn't what I thought it would be.  This is why I don't like ordering online for large items.  It's such an inconvenience when I have to drive to the UPS store and ship it back.  Oh well, back to the drawing board.  It will be a few weeks before the room is complete.  I can't wait to share it with you.  I'll try to snap a sneak peek photo this weekend.  Be sure to check my camera roll on Instagram (joann3373).

In the meantime, for those of you still thinking of Valentine's Day gifts, here are a couple of simple but stunning ideas:

Just my style . . . flowers and a card.  And, how stunning are these!

Hi!  Hope everyone enjoyed the weekend.  Ours was a busy one, working on some house projects.  And, while feeling a bit under the weather, I pushed through . . . more than I should have.

The month of February is upon us and I'm inspired by some floral designs, fitting for Valentine's Day.  Red roses seem to be the traditional gift arrangement, but I'm loving all the variations out there from reds to blush tones.

Instead of receiving a floral arrangement for Valentine's Day, I enjoy creating my own.  Last year, my hubby purchased a bunch of flowers for me and I created a few to place around the home for Valentine's Day.

Thanks for stopping by.

FRIDAY'S FLORALS: Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Friday . . . Friday the 13th and pre Valentine's Day!  Wishing all you love birds a great weekend.  The temps on the Eastcoast are frigid (brrrr).  Snow predicted tomorrow; perfect weekend to snuggle up with the one(s) you love.

Here's a simple flower arrangement I created, inspired by Valentine's Day.

INSPIRATION FOR YOUR VALENTINE's DAY: Gift Ideas

Monday is here and we woke up with more snow.  It's also Groundhog Day. Well, they predicted six more weeks of winter (just great). Hope the weeks go quickly.

With Valentine's Day just a few weeks away, here's a little inspiration to to guide you with some gift ideas for your sweetheart/someone special.

Details:

Nothing says I love you, than with a lovely floral arrangement.  Floral design by Tulipina

Perhaps a new perfume to add to her collection?  This was is fitting for Valentine's Day.  Prada Candy Perfume (Macy's)

I, personally, would love a candle any holiday or any day of the month for that matter!  Diptyque Rose Pink Candle (Barneys)

Let's not forget about chocolate!  It's a perfect excuse to indulge.  Neuhaus Sweetheart Valentine Tray (Neuhaus)

And, nothing says I love you more, than with your words.  Don't forget about purchasing your Valentine's Day cards.  Here's a handmade card, "I Love You Greeting Card - "Cerise" (Design by Occasion via Etsy)

Did I mention, the designer is my sister?

Lastly, what woman doesn't like makeup.  A new shade of pink is the perfect gift.  Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte in Fuchsia Tourbillon (Bloomingdales).  The texture is super smooth and soothing; giving your lips a glossy look with lots of color.

Happy Shopping!
