ROOMS THAT INSPIRE

Another Monday is upon us.  Where does the weekend go?  We had some crappy weather with rain all day and night on Saturday and chilly weather on Sunday.  It didn't help that I wasn't feeling the greatest on Saturday.  But Monty boy was keeping me company and entertained.  It's been a joy, having a new puppy around.  Mr. D. and I laugh at how exhausted we are keeping up with Monty.  When he's not sleeping, he's in speed mode; wanting to play with us and his toys.  It's hard to get anything else done, because he requires supervision from one of us (lol).  We're waiting for some gates to arrive because Monty has been pushing the limits on stair climbing!  Definitely need to block off some rooms.

Onto today's post!  Meet designers Jim and Phoebe Howard.  If you live in Jacksonville, Florida, you definitely know this couple with their store, Mrs. Howard and Max & Company.  Phoebe also has a book entitled, the Joy of Decorating.  And, they have a furniture collection called Mr. and Mrs. Howard for Sherrill Furniture.

Creating stylish spaces has evolved Phoebe in creating her own brand of decorating.  Recognized for her Southern style has won her lots of praise.  If your taste leans more towards a traditional look, or a southern style, then get ready for some inspirational rooms.  Here are some of my favorite rooms:

While this room is traditional, the staircase give is that transitional look.

This room is so soft and quiet.
That wing back chair looks appealing; great for reading or blogging

I love the color palette in this room.

Beautiful burlwood table and mirror

Wow!  The walls in this jade lacquer finish is stunning!

The wallpaper is the focal point in this room, with it's large scale design.

I love the design of the curtains and the way it opens up

I love the pink flowers in the pale blue vase.  Such a pretty comb
